ABOUT THE SHOW - GODOT IS A WOMAN

Since Samuel Beckett wrote Waiting for Godot, he and his estate have notoriously challenged - often legally - non-male companies that wish to perform it. A whip-smart interrogation of gender, authorial copyright and the cultural significance of Madonna's 1989 album, Like a Prayer, Silent Faces return with their trademark style of playful, political, physical theatre.

Godot is a Woman ran at the Pleasance London in 2021 to rapturous audiences and critical acclaim before transferring to the Pleasance at Edinburgh Fringe in 2022, where the show enjoyed sold-out audiences, multiple 5-star reviews and award nominations.

ABOUT SILENT FACES

Silent Faces make brave, ridiculous, unique and challenging devised theatre, employing their unique style of high-concept, metaphorical, playful theatre to push the boundaries of clown and physical theatre in a contemporary political context.

Founded by two women and one non-binary person, we celebrate work made by trans and female artists. Silent Faces is an integrated company of disabled and non-disabled creatives.
