empower play: online
a clown is hopeful, even when faced with disaster...
Join Silent Faces for a series of wellbeing workshops to get you
playing, moving, staying creative and feeling connected
Wednesday 3rd February 2021, 7pm - 8.30pm (GMT)
Friday 12th February 2021, 2pm - 3.30pm (GMT)
Saturday 20th February 2021, 4pm - 5.30pm (GMT)
To start with there will be three 90-minute interactive workshops taking place on Zoom. They’ll all be slightly different so feel free to come to one, two or all three!
Together we’ll explore the state of the clown: a state of freedom, of vulnerability, of pleasure, of joy and of imagination. We’ll accept and embrace our failures, trust in our own spontaneity, discover our innermost idiot and - most importantly of all - have a good laugh.
Each session will include a variety of clowning games, exercises, tasks and explorations and give an insight into Silent Faces' playful style.
These workshops are open to everyone, no prior experience is necessary. We actively encourage participants who are:
from ethnically diverse backgrounds
neurodiverse and/or disabled
We are running these workshops on a Pay What You Can basis in order to make them accessible to all that wish to attend. We encourage you to pay what you can reasonably afford across the following prices: £0 / £2 / £5 / £10 / £20.
All income will go directly towards the costs of keeping Silent Faces going whilst we are unable to make and show work or run workshops in person.
